ArtFest Juried Fine Art Exhibit:

Each year DAAG offers artists in our community an opportunity to showcase their artwork through our juried exhibit held every year in September during Delphos Canal Days.



DAAG held their opening reception Thursday, September 8th for their 13th Annual Canal Days ArtFest Exhibit. This juried exhibit featuring 29 entries from local and regional artists was juried by Pat Rayman, a regional artist and an instructor of drawing, acrylic, and watercolor painting from Van Wert. All original artwork in the following mediums were eligible for entry from artists 18 years of age and older: drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, collage, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber art, and woodwork. Awards were presented to those artists whose artwork showed superb use of the chosen medium.

Best of Show Award Winner ($300): Shannon Perez, charcoal drawing, “Little Feather”

1st Place Award ($150): Rhonda Hager, acrylic painting on linen, “Fisherman’s Wharf”

2nd Place Award ($100): Jeanalle Bonifas, papier-mâché sculpture, “Autumn”

3rd Place Award ($75): Anna Talei Fisher, watercolor and ink collage, “Mountains Meet the Sky”

The ArtFest Exhibit will be on display in the Activity Room at the Delphos Public Library through Saturday, September 17th during the library’s business hours.

This exhibit is solely funded every year with the continued support of local businesses. Sponsors for this year’s exhibit are A & J Woodworking, Delpha Chevrolet-Buick, Delphos Public Library, First Federal Bank, James E. Dickman Insurance, Mohr Smiles, and VFW Post 3035.
